Join our Board of Directors!

Are you seeking a fulfilling community-based volunteer leadership opportunity? Do you want to utilize your talents in marketing, financial planning, fundraising, or strategic thinking to help a great cause? If so, Bike Santa Cruz County is seeking leaders like you to join our Board of Directors.

We are interested in talking to you if you are passionate about our mission and want to contribute to bicycle advocacy in Santa Cruz County and have one or more of the following qualifications:

• Have a background in accounting or finance,

• Have a background in fundraising or donor engagement, 

• Have a background in marketing or brand management, 

• Have a background in nonprofit law or HR, 

• Have a developed diversity, equity and inclusion lens, 

• Have experience working in the bicycle industry. 

Board Expectations:

• Attend monthly board meetings; 

• Actively serve on one of three committees: Advocacy, Finance, or Fundraising;

• Attend one or more of our signature events like Open Streets Santa Cruz or Watsonville, the Annual Fundraising Dinner, Bike Valet; and, 

• Make a personally significant charitable contribution or in-kind donation to Bike Santa Cruz County.

We expect this year to be another breakout year for bicycling and bicycle advocacy in Santa Cruz County.  If you’d like to be at the hub of the action, we welcome your interest. As a countywide organization, we aim for our board to be representative of the County community.
